Domaine Dereskos Winery Experience. Set in the heart of Messinia, near the town of Gargalianoi and within close reach of Pylos, Gialova, and the iconic Voidokilia Beach, Domaine Dereskos unfolds across a serene landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and cultivated gardens. Founded and led by Theo Dereskos since 1994, the estate reflects a deep respect for the local terroir, producing distinctive regional wines that express the character of this unique land. Spread across 100 acres at an altitude of 350 meters, the domaine brings together vineyards, a working winery, and thoughtfully designed tasting spaces—both indoors and outdoors—surrounded by nature.

Your visit begins with a warm welcome from the winery, followed by a gentle walk through the vineyards, where you are introduced to the rhythms of the land and the philosophy behind the wines. The experience continues inside the winery, offering an intimate glimpse into the winemaking process—from fermentation to aging—while the aromas of the cellar create a truly sensory atmosphere. You then take your seat in a tranquil setting, either outdoors among olive trees and gardens or within the elegant tasting space, to enjoy a curated wine tasting of 3 selected labels. Each wine is thoughtfully paired with local delicacies, including olives, olive oil, and traditional lalagia. Throughout the experience, stories unfold—of the land, the people, and the craft—creating a meaningful connection to Messinia’s rich wine culture.

We visit the nearby seaside village of Marathopoli, walking and watching the Proti islet spectacular views.

The Messinian Meal. No exploration of heritage is complete without its flavors. Your experience concludes at a carefully selected traditional restaurant at Marathopoli, where you are invited to choose freely from the menu. Joined by your local host, you will be introduced to the owner and chef while discovering the stories and traditions behind Messinian cuisine. Dietary & Health Consent. To ensure a safe and refined dining experience, kindly inform us of any food allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking. You may also indicate your preference for seafood, meat, or vegetarian cuisine.

Who This Is For. Ideal for couples, families, friends, and corporate groups seeking a relaxed yet meaningful gastronomic experience.

What to bring. Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, insect repellent and water.

Easy activity level. Light walking on mostly flat or slightly uneven terrain, suitable for all ages with a relaxed pace.
