We collect you from your home or hotel in Athens.

12:30 — Gialova Village

Your first stop is the charming village of Gialova. We gather at a carefully selected local café or taverna for a light snack and a drink, taking in the first glimpse of the bay before the adventure begins.

13:30 — Gialova Lagoon Walk

The Gialova Lagoon — a Natura 2000 protected habitat — welcomes you with extraordinary natural beauty. Over 270 species of migratory birds pass through here on their journey to Africa. Flamingos, herons, and wild plants.

14:15 — Voidokilia Beach & The Walk to Nestor’s Cave

From the lagoon, you step into one of Greece’s most iconic natural landmarks. Voidokilia. Your local host leads you on a guided walk through the golden dunes and up the hillside path to Nestor’s Cave. We strongly recommend wearing a pair of comfortable closed-toe shoes or light hiking shoes.

The cave is dramatic, and ancient. According to Pausanias, it is where King Neleus kept his royal herds. Nestor’s Cave was chosen as a filming location for Christopher Nolan’s epic production of The Odyssey. In case of very good weather – Return to Voidokilia for a swim in the calm, crystal-clear, protected waters of one of Greece’s most beautiful and unspoiled beaches.

16:30 — Sunset Dinner Viewing Navarino Bay, Gialova

As golden light settles over the water, your group gathers for a long, unhurried Messinian meal at one of our carefully selected local restaurants. Fresh seafood, locally pressed olive oil, regional cheeses, and Peloponnesian wines. Watch the sun drop behind the Bay of Navarino and the Sphacteria island. There is no better ending.

18:30 — Return to Athens

Your private chauffeured vehicle departs for Athens.  You arrive home around 23:00.

Alternative Route in Case of Rainy Weather 

Pylos & Neokastro Fortress. This alternative route takes you from the mythical shores of Voidokilia and Nestor’s Cave into the heart of Pylos. Your stop is Neokastro, the magnificent fortress built in 1573, perched above the town with sweeping views over Navarino Bay. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Pylos, The Church of the Transfiguration, The walls and bastions of Neokastro — where the Battle of Navarino of 1827, and the Exhibition of underwater antiquities.

11:00 — Methoni Castle

Your first destination is one of the most spectacular medieval fortresses in the entire Mediterranean — Methoni Castle, a Venetian masterpiece built in the 13th century. Methoni Castle was chosen as a filming location for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Several of the film’s spectacular battle scenes on the water were filmed in the waters between Methoni and Sapientza Island.

13:00 — Methoni Village

A short stroll through the charming village of Methoni for a coffee, a fresh juice, or simply time to absorb the atmosphere of this beautifully preserved Messinian coastal town.

In case of perfect weather – we go offshore. When the sea is calm and the sun is high, Alex takes the wheel. Board our private boat and sail to Sapientza — wild, unspoiled, and entirely yours for the afternoon.

In case of bad weather – we go to Pylos. Your stop is Neokastro, the magnificent fortress built in 1573. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Pylos, The Church of the Transfiguration, The walls and bastions of Neokastro, and the Exhibition of underwater antiquities.

15:30 — Lunch in Olympia Village

17:00 — Departure for Messinia
Your private vehicle continues south, crossing the Peloponnesian countryside toward the Bay of Navarino.
